ABB DI880 Description

The DI880 is a 16-channel, 24 V DC digital input module designed for both single 

and redundant configurations. It supports an input voltage range of 18 to 30 V DC, 

with an input current of 7 mA at 24 V DC. Each input channel is equipped with 

current-limiting components, EMC protection, an input state indication LED, and 

optical isolation barriers.

Additionally, the module features a current-limited transducer power output for each 

input channel.

One of its key functions is the Sequence of Event (SOE) feature, which allows for 

event collection with a resolution of 1 ms. The event queue can store up to 512 x 16 

events. To enhance the accuracy and reliability of event reporting, the SOE function 

includes a Shutter filter to suppress unwanted events.
