ABB PM867K02 Description

The CPU board of the PM867 controller is equipped with a microprocessor, RAM 

memory, a real-time clock, LED indicators, an INIT push button, and a 

CompactFlash interface, providing essential components for reliable performance.

The base plate features two RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2) for connection to the 

Control Network, as well as two RJ45 serial ports (COM3, COM4). One serial port 

(COM3) is an RS232C port with modem control signals, while the other (COM4) is 

isolated and designed for connecting a configuration tool. The PM867 controller 

supports CPU redundancy, enhancing availability by ensuring that critical components 

such as the CPU, CEX-Bus, communication interfaces, and S800 I/O are backed up.

For high integrity functionality, the controller is enhanced with the SM812 module and 

SIL-certified software. The AC 800M High Integrity controller meets IEC 61508 and 

TÜV certifications, allowing for a control environment that combines both safety 

and business-critical process control within a single unit without compromising 

safety integrity. It is compatible with 800xA 6.0.2 and later versions; please refer 

to the Product Update for further details.
