BENTLY NEVADA 21000-16-10-15-098-03-02 Description

Bently Nevada offers two robust all-metal Proximity Probe Housing Assemblies

designed for the external mounting of proximity probes: the 21000 aluminum probe 

housing assembly and the 24701 stainless steel probe housing assembly. These 

housings feature a dome cover that screws into the housing body, threaded ports 

for conduit connections, and a probe sleeve available in various lengths. Additionally, 

they include O-rings, a reverse mount proximity probe, a thread seal, optional 

conduit fittings, and an optional standoff adapter.

The use of a proximity probe housing enables external access to the proximity probe 

and its extension cable, allowing for gap adjustments or probe replacements without 

needing to disassemble the machinery. The sleeve length is determined based on 

the installation location, with the probe lead required to be longer than the sleeve. 

For sleeves longer than 304 mm (12 inches), additional sleeve support is recommended 

to reduce vibrations caused by unsupported lengths. A probe support/oil seal 

(P/N 37948-01) is available for long sleeves passing through an inner bearing 

housing, or a custom sleeve support can be provided by the customer or Bently 

Nevada.
