Bently Nevada 330902-00-95-10-02-05 Description

The 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System is designed for use in 

applications with tight installation requirements, such as centrifugal air compressors, 

refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other similar machinery. 

This system is ideal for situations where space constraints, such as counterbore, side-view, 

or rear-view restrictions, make it difficult to use standard 5 mm or 8 mm transducer systems. 

It is also well-suited for small target applications, including radial vibration measurements 

on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position measurements on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).

The 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System includes three main components:
A 3300 NSv Probe
A 3300 NSv Extension Cable
A 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor
This system is commonly used for the following applications on fluid-filmed bearing 

machines with small shafts or reduced side-view clearance:
Radial vibration and radial position measurements
Axial (thrust) position measurements
Tachometer and zero-speed measurements
Phase reference (Keyphasor) signals

The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System is designed to replace older systems, such as 

the 3300 RAM Transducer Systems and the 3000-series or 7000-series 190 Transducer 

Systems. When upgrading from the 3300 RAM system, the existing probe, extension cable, 

and monitoring system can be retained, with only the Proximitor Sensor needing to be 

replaced with the 3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor. However, upgrades from the 3000-series 

or 7000-series Transducer Systems require replacing the probe, extension cable, and 

Proximitor Sensor with NSv components.

The system features an Average Scale Factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil), which is the 

standard output for eddy current transducers. While its enhanced side-view and small 

target capabilities result in a shorter linear range compared to standard 5 mm and 8 mm 

transducer systems, the 3300 XL NSv offers a linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mils), exceeding 

the linear range of the 3000-series 190 Transducer System.

This makes the 3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer System a versatile and reliable solution 

for challenging installation environments and small target applications.
