HONEYWELL HS-NCM-SF →Description
The High-Speed Network Communications Module (HS-NCM) is designed to
facilitate communication between various NOTIFIER® fire alarm control panels,
network control displays, annunciators, and digital voice command systems via the
High-Speed NOTI•FIRE•NET™ (NFN) network. It is available in six different types
to accommodate various connection requirements:
HS-NCM-MF: For connecting nodes with multi-mode fiber-optic cable.
HS-NCM-SF: For connecting nodes with single-mode fiber-optic cable.
HS-NCM-MFSF: For connecting multi-mode and single-mode fiber-optic mediums
on the same network.
HS-NCM-W-2: For connecting nodes with twisted-pair wire.
HS-NCM-WMF-2: For connecting wire and multi-mode fiber-optic mediums on the
same network.
HS-NCM-WSF-2: For connecting wire and single-mode fiber-optic mediums on the
same network.
Each HS-NCM can support up to two node addresses, allowing it to provide
network communication for multiple devices, such as an N16 and an NCD. In the absence
of a fire alarm panel connection, the HS-NCM defaults to repeater mode, enabling it
to extend signal distances or pass data between network segments with mixed wire
and fiber configurations.

further details, consult the HS-NCM Manual (P/N 54014).
