BENTLY NEVADA 330851-02-000-066-10-00-05 Description

The 3300 XL 25 mm Proximitor Sensor retains the advanced features of its predecessor, 

the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensors. Its slim design enables it to be mounted in either 

high-density DIN-rail installations or more traditional panel mount configurations. 

Enhanced RFI/EMI immunity allows the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor to meet European 

CE mark approvals without the need for special mounting considerations. This 

immunity also ensures that the transducer system is not negatively impacted by nearby 

high-frequency radio signals. The SpringLoc terminal strips on the Proximitor Sensor 

require no special installation tools, making field wiring connections faster and 

more reliable.

Two transducers are used in this configuration, with at least one transducer viewing a 

ramp on the rotor and the second transducer either viewing a separate ramp or a 

different location on the rotor to account for radial movement. Although this setup 

introduces some measurement error, it allows for the measurement of a longer total 

drive-end (DE) distance compared to the complementary measurement.

When selecting a mounting method, factors such as the size of the available target, 

the expected amount of rotor axial movement, and the type of DE target in the machine 

(e.g., collar versus ramp) must be considered. If sufficient collar height is available, 

the preferred configuration is to use two transducers observing the same side of the 

collar. This setup provides redundant measurements for added reliability.
