BENTLY NEVADA 330500-01-CN Description
Bently Nevada Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensors are designed to measure absolute
vibration in bearing housings, casings, or structural components relative to free space.
The 330500 model is a specialized piezoelectric accelerometer that features
embedded integrated electronics in a solid-state design. This solid-state
construction eliminates moving parts, preventing mechanical degradation and wear,
and allows for flexible installation in any orientation—vertically, horizontally, or at
any other angle.
Common machine malfunctions such as unbalance, misalignment, and other issues
often originate from the rotor, leading to increased or altered rotor vibration. For
effective protection of the entire machine, it is essential that the vibration from the
rotor is transmitted adequately to the machine casing or the location where the transducer
is mounted. Proper installation of the accelerometer transducer on the bearing housing
or machine casing is crucial, as improper placement can affect the amplitude and
frequency response, or generate false signals that do not accurately represent the vibration.
Bently Nevada also offers engineering services upon request to help identify the
optimal machine setup for these sensors. Refer to the appropriate instruction manuals
and application notes for detailed installation guidance.
